A brown glaze with blue tones when cooled quickly, and bronze tones when slow cooled. Looks vastly changed on different clays and at different thicknesses.
The Constellations are the first line of glazes designed to shine in both regular and slow-cooled firings. Thickness, firing temperature, and especially cooling speed can affect these glazes, ensuring they are never the same twice.
For a smooth glossy finish allow kiln to cool naturally. For a varied micro crystalline surface, use the slow cool program below.
100F/hr to 220F (this preheat ramp is optional)
350F/hr to 2000F
150F/hr to 2200F hold for 15 minutes
500F/hr to 2150F hold for 15 minutes
125F/hr to 1400F
