• Recommended firing range 1100-1220C / Cone 02 to 6
• Indicative texture 1 (Smooth 1-Coarse 10).
• Shrinkage: 1100C = 9%; 1200C = 14%
• Known for many years as 'LT25', Studio White Earthenware is a very plastic white earthenware clay consisting of ball and china clays from Devon and Cornwall.
• Studio White Earthenware was designed primarily for throwing.
• Good 'green' strength and fires to an ivory-white colour.
• Relatively high in calcium therefore leadless transparent glazes can fire 'milky'. To avoid this, select a low-solubility glaze. However, for functional ware a leadless alternative is recommended
